In the last post, we discussed how our Immune System is affected by our mental attitude and touched on the fact that research shows the practice of meditation improves our immune response. He, (the Ph.D. who gave the seminar AND did the research) said that people with weakened Immune Systems showed a vast improvement when they meditated on a regular basis.
This is very good news…if you meditate. My experience tells me that most people don’t, which I find completely understandable, because MEDITATION IS BORING! At least that’s what I used to think.
I first took a Transcendental Meditation class when I was 19. I learned the technique, practiced it every day for several months and…not so much.
Through the years, I’d tried several other forms of meditation; everything from staring at a candle flame, to repeating a secret mantra, to listening to a specially encrypted CD. Each time I tried, I became more and more convinced that the people who say “meditation is a wonderful thing” must be all be lying. How can sitting quietly with eyes closed for a set period of time be all that wonderful? Why not just take a nap and be done with it?!
Well all that changed just a few months ago. Now, I can honestly say that meditation is one of (if not THE) best things I do everyday and has profoundly changed my life. You might be thinking “isn’t that a little too enthusiastic? Profoundly changed your life?! Puh-lease!” To which I would respond “I’m NOT kidding!” Keep in mind, I thought people who claimed benefits from meditation were lying, just a few months ago and I had almost given up.
Knowing I am a huge Abraham-Hicks fan, my daughter bought me their newest book and CD called “Getting Into the Vortex~Guided Meditation“.
Fifteen minutes a day of breathing (which I was doing anyway, lol) while listening to beautiful music and powerful words. The greatest part was I felt an incredible difference after the very first listening!
Now that’s what I’m talkin’ ’bout!
So what change do I notice? I feel happier, healthier, calmer, more confident, more relaxed, more focused, not to mention prettier, richer, smarter, funnier and kinder.
You’ll be hearing more about this in the coming weeks, because it’s helped me so much I’m putting together a 6 week workshop using this material. I almost feel a sense of obligation to share this powerful, life-changing tool. What’s most exciting is I’ve shared it with some friends and clients and they are experiencing the exact same results.

If you’re thinking “yeah, she’s probably getting huge kick-backs from Abraham for talking this up!”, you would be correct. But the kick-backs come not from Abraham-Hicks, but from The Universe. I’ve been studying The Law of Attraction for many years, and nothing even comes close to this, in terms of rapid, appreciable results.
