There’s a Skip In My Step, Cuz I’m Skipping A Step

Thank You Irene!

I‘m feeling extremely fortunate that the only inconvenience I experienced this weekend was having to postpone my son’s move to college by one week.

Living in New Jersey has been a little bit stressful for the past few days.  Hurricane Irene was heading up the coast, and New Jersey was predicted to be hit HARD.  Our Governor, with the help of some brilliant meteorologists, did an excellent job of encouraging us to hope for the best and prepare for the worst.  Continue reading

What if…I Won The Lottery?

Have you ever fantasized about winning the lottery?  Last week the New Jersey Powerball jackpot was $220,000,000, and I spent a bit of time fantasizing about what I would do if I were to win.  And, I bought a ticket!  I really got into it, mentally and it turned out to be fun and enlightening.

The first thing I thought about was who I would call and what I would say.  I absolutely love surprising people, and I thought of how I would surprise my children with this exciting news.  Would I tell them over the phone? Invite them over for dinner? Take them (and all their friends!) out to dinner?  I let that one go for awhile… Continue reading
