More Than Inspired~Insfired!

Yesterday I invented a new word by combining

Inspired~ aroused with the spirit to do something, as if by divine or supernatural influence, and

Fired Up~ excited, enthusiastic and physically motivated.
The result…..(drumroll please)……

~INSFIRED~
feeling totally inspired and completely
fired-up at the exact same time.

Someone who is insfired is unstoppable; they are on a roll; in the zone.  Great ideas just keep coming and coming.  The ideas keep getting bigger and better.  Insfired people talk really fast and somewhat loud.  And the more they talk, the more excited they get.  And the more excited they get, the more the great ideas come.  They can’t sit still and they can’t stop smiling.  They feel invincible and they feel their ideas can change the world.  And they can!

It’s not everyday that you meet with insfired people, but yesterday I spoke with two; both men and both awesome.  One was actually brought to tears when it struck him how perfectly everything was coming together.  Which brought me to tears, witnessing this genuine outpouring of transparent emotion.

That’s the thing with Insfiration~ it’s contagious.  It got me excited and it got me talking fast and it got me smiling and laughing and happy.  I was infected!  I was pulled in and swept away, as if these were my great ideas and my creation.  I was energized and enthusiastic and by the end of the day…inventing words!

I wish I could share their insfired ideas, but they’re not mine to share …although I can tell you “Go-Giver~ the Musical” may have been mentioned!  Talk about insfiration!

Have you ever been insfired?
Have you ever been around someone who was insfired?
Do you think I should contact Merriam-Webster or should I simply try to calmax (calm down and relax)?

  1. I am INSFIRED all the time. I am like The Flash on my biz and personal development. OMG, did I just make a nerd reference. I can’t help it, I am surrounded by them at home.
    Great post!

  2. “Or should I simply try and calmax?) LOLOLOL!

  3. Brilliant Linda. It fills in the gap when inspired isn’t enough of a word to describe the feeling but is definitely part of the equation. I love it.

  4. I LOVE THAT WORD!!! ( you have to read this fast because I am talking and typing fast, because I am insfired!!) I had an insfired week and I can tell because most messages I left required the caller to call me back saying “what did you say on that message :)” I think Mr Merriam-Webster needs to put that in there. Thank you Linda for keeping me Insfired!!!

Thanks Sean. Something tells me you’re right (about what you like to think) and I’m guessing you inspire many others along your way :-)
