It’s been nearly a week since Hurricane Irene paid a visit to many places along the East Coast.  New Jersey was one of the hardest hit states and several of my friends are still without power, after seven days!  For some, that also means no running water, as their homes are served by a well, and the well requires electricity to pump. Thank You Irene!

I‘m feeling extremely fortunate that the only inconvenience I experienced this weekend was having to postpone my son’s move to college by one week.

Living in New Jersey has been a little bit stressful for the past few days.  Hurricane Irene was heading up the coast, and New Jersey was predicted to be hit HARD.  Our Governor, with the help of some brilliant meteorologists, did an excellent job of encouraging us to hope for the best and prepare for the worst.  Continue reading
